Check-in for our trans-Pacific flight to the Land of the Rising Sun.

2: Arrive
Tokyo
We arrive at Tokyo's new Narita International Airport and are brought to
our luxury hotel accommodations.

The Tokyo Metropolitan area is home to one-quarter of all Japanese. As
the nation’s capital and powerhouse of creative energy, Tokyo offers
visitors aspects of both the old and the new. Our morning drive takes
us through the Yokohama Bridge and arrive in Yokohama Chinatown. The
sightseeing tour today also features visits to Asakusa Kannon temple,
Imperial palace, Meiji Shrine, Ginza, as well as Tokyo Tower. Before
we check in to our luxury hotel, we have a dinner stop at shinjuku. (B,

Our most event-filled day begins as we journey by tour coach to
Kamakura Big Buddha. Continue on to Hakone National Park, a popular
mountain hot-spring resort with Lake Ashi at its center. Enjoy a
cruise on Lake Ashi surrounded by lush forests and mountain vistas.
Proceed to Owakudani Hot Spring Zone and Peace Garden. Spend the night
in a hot spring hotel by a lake near Mt. Fuji, Japan’s tallest
mountain and its most well-know symbol, at 3776 meters. (B, D)

5: Shiraito
Falls~Shizuoka~Shinkansen
Bullet Train~Kakegawa~Kyoto
Continue our trip toward Kyoto by tour coach and enjoy the
breathtaking views of Mt. Fuji and tea gardens. After visiting
Shiraito Falls, we have an opportunity to take the famous
“Shinkansen” bullet train ride from Shizuoka to Kakegawa, then
head to Kyoto by coach again. Bullet train provides ultrafast and
highly reliable rail links almost all the length of Japan. Kyoto was
Japan’s capital for over 1,000 years, and during that time became
the repository of much of the best of Japanese arts, culture,
religion, and thoughts. (B, D)

6: Kiyomizu

Castle
Our city tour of Kyoto shows us the ancient Kiyomizu Temple, the
stunning Golden Pavilion, and the Heian Shrine. Kiyomizu Temple is
famous for its wide wooden veranda jutting out over an exquisite
valley that extends to panoramic view of the city. The brilliant
Golden Pavilion was built in 1394 as a villa for the shogun. Travel to
Nara, visit some ancient attractions such as Todaiji Temple and Deer
Park. The last stop of the day is Osaka Castle, built in 1586 by
Toyotomi Hideyoshi. Overnight at Osaka City for accommodation. (B, D)
Day 7: Osaka~Atami~Hot
Spring Resort~Farewell Dinner Banquet
Osaka is Japan’s third-largest city and the commercial and
industrial hub for western Japan. After breakfast, we travel on to
Atami, the number one hot spring resort of Japan. You may enjoy hot
spring bath as much as you want before or after the Japanese farewell
dinner banquet. (B, D)

Atami~Tokyo~USA
We return to Tokyo by tour coach to catch our homebound flight for
USA. (B)
